Terms of Service

Vocas is a food and activity log you use by text message. You text what you ate or did; we work out the entries and send back the numbers. You can review and correct everything on the web.

Vocas is a logging tool. It is not a medical device, and nothing it sends you is medical, nutritional, or dietary advice. Talk to a qualified professional before making decisions about your health.

Vocas reads messages written in ordinary language and infers portions when you do not state them, so the figures are approximate. Items we cannot find in our nutrition database are estimated and marked as estimates. You can correct any entry from the dashboard.

Your mobile number is your account. Keep access to your phone secure — anyone who can receive your verification codes can reach your log. Tell us promptly if that stops being true.

You must be at least 16 to use Vocas.

By opting in you agree to receive text messages from us: confirmations of what you log, and a daily summary if you want one. Message frequency varies. Message and data rates may apply — those are between you and your carrier.

Reply STOP to end messages at any time, or HELP for help. Ending messages does not cancel a paid subscription; do that in your settings.

• New accounts get 3 days free. Nothing is charged during the trial.
• After the trial, $9.99 per month or $69.99 per year, depending on the plan you chose.
• It renews automatically each period at the same price until you cancel. We show you the renewal date before you pay.
• Cancel any time in one step from your settings. Cancelling stops the next renewal and keeps your access to the end of the period you have already paid for.
• If we ever change the price, we will tell you before it applies to you.

Payments are processed by Stripe. We do not see or store your card details.

Do not use Vocas to break the law, to log on someone else’s behalf without them knowing, or to attack, overload, or reverse engineer the service. We may suspend an account doing any of that.

Your entries are yours. We handle them as described in our Privacy Policy, which includes the commitment that we never share or sell your mobile number or your opt-in.

We work to keep Vocas running but cannot promise it is always available or always correct. Message delivery in particular depends on carriers we do not control — voice memos over MMS are US and Canada only and vary by carrier and handset.

To the extent the law allows, Vocas is provided as-is, and our total liability to you is limited to what you paid us in the twelve months before the claim.

You can stop using Vocas and delete your account at any time. We may end an account that breaches these terms, and will give notice where we reasonably can.
